Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions.

The questions publishers ask us most often. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

Q. 01Do you buy or resell our inventory?

No. Openbidx is a services and software company, not an ad network. We do not take a position in your inventory and we do not insert ourselves into your revenue chain. We build, optimize and operate your stack — the demand relationships and the revenue remain yours.

Q. 02How do you charge for your services?

It depends on the engagement. Project work (audits, migrations, custom builds) is priced as a fixed scope. Ongoing yield management and ad operations are typically a monthly retainer, and in some cases a performance-linked component can be added. You will always get a clear scope and price before we start.

Q. 03How long does it take to see results from yield management?

Quick wins (floor pricing errors, misconfigured line items, timeout issues) often show up within the first 2–4 weeks. Structural improvements — demand mix changes, architecture fixes, refresh strategy — typically compound over 2–3 months. We report progress against a baseline we establish at the start.

Q. 04We already have an ad ops team. Can you work alongside them?

Yes, and this is one of our most common setups. We can take over specific workstreams (video, reporting, header bidding), act as a second line for escalations, or focus purely on architecture while your team runs daily operations. Everything we build is documented and handed over.

Q. 05Which platforms and technologies do you work with?

Google Ad Manager, Prebid.js and Prebid Server, Open Bidding, Amazon TAM, major SSPs, and video delivery across VAST 4.x for web, in-app and CTV. On the software side we build custom tooling on modern cloud infrastructure. If your stack includes something unusual, ask — chances are we have debugged it before.

Q. 06Do you work with app and CTV inventory, or only web?

All three. Web display and video, in-app monetization through SDK and bidding integrations, and CTV/OTT delivery including ad pods and server-side ad insertion setups.

Q. 07Is our data safe with you?

We work under NDA as standard, access your systems with named accounts and least-privilege permissions, and never share client performance data. Reporting stays inside your infrastructure wherever possible.

Q. 08Can you help with GDPR / consent management?

We set up and validate TCF 2.2-compliant consent flows as part of architecture work, and make sure consent signals actually reach your demand partners correctly — a common and expensive failure point. For legal interpretation of privacy law, we recommend working with your counsel; we handle the technical implementation.

Q. 09What does a typical engagement look like?

Most clients start with a stack audit (2–3 weeks): we analyze your setup, quantify revenue leaks and deliver a prioritized action plan. From there, you can implement the plan yourself, have us build it, or move into an ongoing managed engagement. There is no obligation to continue after the audit.

Q. 10How do we get started?

Send us a short note through the contact page with a description of your inventory (web/app/CTV, rough traffic volume, current stack). We will reply with initial observations and a proposed scope, usually within two business days.
